Our Story: Music with Purpose, Led by Experience
Founded by pianist Kelly Israel in 2025, the organisation grew out of her lived-experience navigating the world with late-diagnosed AuDHD (ADHD & Autism) and proffesional background in charities, with a particular interest in place-based development and delivery.
Witnessing firsthand the barriers faced by neurodivergent artists and the growing disconnect and missed opportunities within our communities, Kelly envisioned a new model:
a professional scaffolding that turns neurodivergent talent into a community asset.
She was joined by Mark Prescott, in 2026, an internationally renowned violinist, composer, and musical educator. Mark oversees the delivery and musical excellence of our work and leads our inclusive music-making projects.
Together, they bring over 50 years of expertise to the lead.
Their partnership—forged through musical collaboration—combines Kelly’s entrepreneurial drive with Mark’s role as a creative connector, ensuring every project is rooted in inclusive musical excellence, community cohesion and our places.
Mission
Nurturing neurodivergent individuals to build vibrant creative careers and lead inclusive musical experiences for a more connected community.

Are you a neurodivergent musician looking for a different way to work?
At Music With Meaning CIC, we believe that your neurotype is what makes you distinct, and should not a barrier to a professional career. We know that the traditional music industry often feels built for someone else—full of administrative hurdles, unpredictable finances, and sensory overwhelm.
We are here to provide the scaffolding so you can focus on the sound.
Whether you are a seasoned performer or an emerging talent, we offer distinct pathways to work with us:
- The Agency Model: We act as your professional support hub, assisting with the “business” side of your career—from Access to Work applications and Access RIders to securing paid opportunities that value your time and talent.
- Programme Delivery: Lead our signature sessions, like our Sing and Social intergenerational hubs or our Sound Sessions for babies and toddlers. You bring the music; we provide the structure, the venue, and the community.
Of course, you can also do both!
What We Offer:
Stable, Professional Pay: We are committed to closing the disability pay gap by securing fair market rates for our team.
Neuro-Inclusive Admin: We handle the contracts, invoicing, and logistics.
Peer Mentorship: Work alongside founders who understand the ADHD/Autistic experience firsthand.

Working with Kelly and Mark has been a breath of fresh air. It’s the first time I’ve felt safe to unmask and be my true self in a professional environment. They understand my needs and appreciate the way I think—creating a fairer, less regimented space for creative entrepreneurs.
